Durham Bird Club

Durham Bird Club was formed in 1974 by a group of people passionate about watching and conserving the wild birds of the County.

The Club is responsible for the recording and study of birds in the old vice County of Durham (between rivers Tyne & Tees) and the production of the County's Annual Report.

We cater for all levels of experience, from the absolute beginner to the dedicated twitcher. Our aim is to ensure that everyone gets the maximum enjoyment from their pastime.

Newbury Ornithological Club

Founded in 1959, the Club promotes all aspects of birdwatching, and currently has around 110 members. Field trips are arranged throughout the year to local sites and further afield, with weekend stays to more distant parts. During the winter months, indoor meetings are held, usually at a local venue, where invited speakers talk on a variety of bird subjects, including ID workshops.
